The Benefits of Massage

The benefits of massage are many and varied and often can be a direct reflection of the needs and wants of the client. Remedial, Sports and Deep Tissue Massage often aim to “normalise” soft tissue structures – meaning to bring muscles, tendons and ligaments back to homeostasis where the appropriate tension, length and circulation exists. The process of doing this often brings about a REDUCTION IN PAIN. Healthy soft tissue is also vital for having a healthy underlying structure (Bones and Joints) and nervous system.

The physical benefits of massage are probably the best understood, however there can be many other benefits that come with a good massage treatment. Clients often will comment how their emotional state, ability to sleep and relax is often much improved after receiving massage.

Regular massage is recommended for everyone. If you have not received massage for some time you initially you may require weekly massage. After receiving the benefits of your first few consecutive treatments, most people can maintain their feeling of well-being with massage every 3 to 4 weeks.
